David Kern, Director of Operations

David has over 10 plus years of experience in legal support industry and is a third-generation process server. David graduated from California State University Northridge (CSUN) with a Bachelor of Arts (BA) Communication degree in 2017. He has worked in all aspects of the legal support industry, including court, process and skip tracing departments. He manages and oversee the day-to-day operations as our Director of Operations for the past five years. David manages and oversees client’s requests, new accounts, process serving, and the court department.

In 2020, David established an Electronic Recording connection between Direct Legal and the 38 county recorder offices with E-Recording capabilities. Direct Legal became one of the first litigation support companies to offer E-Recording in California during the height of the Covid-19 pandemic. While most county recorders were closed to the public, Direct Legal became a lifeline for many Law Firms who were left stranded without a efficient way to get their documents recorded.
